Good Friday evening ladies and gentlemen. It has been a long day for me so I am going to keep the comments tonight brief and to the point. Don’t forget that tomorrow night I plan on continuing the series on the Economy in Crisis. With that in mind I will open tonight’s comments with a discussion on today’s report on job growth that was released and its affect on the stock market today.


Jobs, Stocks, and Nerves

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 324 points today to close below 10,000 at 9932. Why did this happen you ask? I mean come on, there was 400,000 plus jobs created last month. So what’s the problem? Well the fact that 430,000 jobs were created is good but the fact that the BULK of them were temporary government jobs is bad. Folks, these numbers are artificially inflated. If it was not for the census workers we would have seen a job increase of only about 41,000 jobs last month. That equates to approximately 800 jobs created PER STATE! No wonder the Stock Market tanked today. The private sector is barely breathing. The mainstream media and this administration would have you believe that the economy is bouncing back. My friends it is not. Tune in tomorrow night to learn more about our Economy in Crisis.


Obama Travels to the Gulf

President Obama once again today made a trip to the Gulf Coast and met with the governors of Florida, Alabama, and Louisiana. The BP effort to cap the oil spill is continuing. As of last night BP stated that they had placed the cap on the well but based on the video from the live feed it appears that they have not had much success. The devastation continues and quite frankly there isn’t much more I can say that I haven’t said already. BP and the government need to do whatever it takes to stop this leak and get this mess cleaned up. Ultimately it is BP’s responsibility but this is a NATIONAL crisis and needs the attention of the Federal Government. Bear in mind that I’m not saying that the Fed should take over BP. BP is an independent company and I don’t want to see the nationalization of our gas and oil industry. Remember I said last night that this may be just the crisis this administration wants to do exactly that. Meanwhile Eric Holder has run down to the Gulf Coast and has stated that a criminal investigation will take place in regards to the oil spill. That’s terrific. A criminal investigation should take place and someone should be fined, go to jail, or both. Let’s not forget that 11 people lost their lives in the early going of this tragedy. But let’s also keep this in context. Is right now the right time to announce a criminal investigation of BP. Why don’t the government partner with BP to try and get this situation resolved and cleaned up. When that is all said in done then we can watch BP squirm on the witness stand all we want. This kind of goes back to last nights discussion on PRIORITIES!


Helen Thomas…Someone Please Take Her Out With The Trash!

Finally tonight I wanted to comment on the wackjob reporter Helen Thomas who is part of the White House press corp. Yesterday during an interview Helen Thomas was quoted as saying that the Jews should “Get the hell out of Palestine” and that they should return to Germany and Poland. This lady is a true piece of trash, delta bravo. Here’s some irony…It’s mainstream media reporters like her that want to say the Arizona immigration law is RACIST…Well gee, I think her comments there are a BIT RACIST and ANTI SEMETIC don’t ya think…I’ll tell you what…You can decide for yourself. Let’s roll the video…




While we are taking out the trash at the White House let’s make sure that we throw Paul McCartney out as well. While everyone else in the country is suffering he was yucking it up with the Obamas at the White House last night and bashing former President Bush. You know he could have taken a trip down to the Gulf Coast with Obama and given a benefit concert and I would have had more respect for him. I guess the lowly residents down there are not good enough for them.
