Sestak Scandal Heating Up…
OH MY GOSH FOLKS…I really wanted to continue my series on the Economy in Crisis tonight but that is going to be put on the back burner for now in light of the continuing developments in the Sestak scandal. Ladies and gentlemen I thought my freaking head was going to explode with the White House statement today on the Sestak issue. Let’s get right into it:
The White House released a statement today stating that former President Bill Clinton met with and had a discussion with Pennsylvania Democratic Senate Candidate Joe Sestak and offered him a “non paid” position for dropping out of the Democratic Primary with Arlen Specter.
Sestak spoke to the media today as well and said that nothing inappropriate took place during his discussion with Clinton.
The media has been asking White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs about this situation since February and on multiple occasions Gibbs has ducked the questions.
Sestak has stated to the media on MULTIPLE occasions that he was offered a position in the White House administration for dropping out of the primary race and on at least one occasion he stated that it was a prominent position.
The White House has stated that it was a “non paid” advisory position.
Let’s stop right there and analyze this. This administration is either very bad at lying or they just think that the American people are very stupid and gullible. Releasing such an unbelievable story such as this is flat out an insult to the American public’s intelligence. Here is why.
Why would the White House send a FORMER PRESIDENT to offer a Senate Candidate a non paying advisory job? If this is true then Slick Willy has been reduced to just a simple errand boy.
Why release this statement on a Friday afternoon before a holiday weekend? Because they are hoping that by Tuesday the American public and media will forget about the whole thing. Sorry…NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. The media as well as yours truly are smelling the blood in the water and we are circling in.
If everything was on the up and up as the White House is stating then why didn’t they just come out and say something MONTHS ago instead of letting it go so long.
Why has Sestak been saying in MULTIPLE media appearances that he was offered a JOB and he had DISCUSSIONS (plural) with White House staff regarding it? Last I checked Slick Willy isn’t on the White House payroll…Or is he?
In summary this whole thing stinks to the high heavens and smells of a cover up. You know that old saying…If it walks like a duck and it quacks like a duck then guess what…It’s a DUCK. I still can’t believe that this is the story that they have come up with. Between this scandal and the oil spill I think it’s safe to say that this administration has its head in the guillotine.
Gulf Oil Spill:
Speaking of the oil spill it should be noted that the great one took time out of his busy schedule today to pay a very short visit to the Louisiana Gulf Coast before scooting off to a cozy holiday weekend. Hey Barack…Here’s a thought for you…Why don’t you pack up Michelle and the kids and come down to the coast and stay a while. You want to be Presidential then why don’t you grab some gloves and get your hands dirty and spend the holiday weekend helping out the workers cleaning up this mess. Show the people on the Gulf Coast that you mean business. Oh I forgot…that would interfere with your little Chicago get away this weekend. Maybe you need to pay a visit to your Chicago buddies and come up with some more unbelievable stories to sell to the American people.
Folks, here’s a good one. One report from the Gulf Coast today states that some officials bussed in workers to Grand Isle, LA to work on cleanup while the President was visiting and after he left they then bussed them back out. WILL SOMEBODY TELL ME IF ANYTHING IS REAL ANYMORE…Meanwhile BP and our government is stating tonight that it appears that the Top Kill method to stop the leak is going as planned. Do you believe them??? After today’s ludicrous stories I don’t believe anything anymore. NOTHING ADDS UP ANYMORE!
Thank you for your time tonight. I will attempt to get back on track with the Economy in Crisis series next week sometime but with the way things keep happening there will be some more major things to cover. At some point in time I will get back to it…I promise.
Tomorrow night I will cover the latest on the Sestak scandal and the oil spill in addition to providing recognition to America’s armed forces and our veterans for Memorial Day.
As usual there will be no article on Sunday and I will also not have one on Monday this week due to the holiday. The exception to each of these is in the event that there is a major breakings story. Until tomorrow night…
STAY EDUCATED, STAY INFORMED, STAY ALERT, STAY SAFE
