Well the week is finally coming to a close and not a moment too soon. For my first week writing this blog it has been a whirlwind. I was hoping to get onto somewhat of a lighter topic tonight but once again my focus is going to have to be on illegal immigration. More importantly tonight I want to focus on "border security".
As everyone knows we live in very dangerous times. Terrorist, drug cartels, theives, pedophiles, and murderers lurk in all corners of the globe. A significant portion of the criminal element that happens in the United States comes from illegal immigrants. Before anyone gets all out of sorts I want to clarify that I'm NOT picking on any one RACE here. This is not a race issue. Period. The criminal element could come anywhere from Great Britain, The Cayman Islands, to the Middle East. Like I said, evil lurks in ALL CORNERS OF THE GLOBE. Keep in mind though that we could eliminate a significant portion of the criminal element if we would simply secure the border. This is ESSENTIAL to the safety and security of the American people. Arizona realizes that and has stepped up to do the job that the Federal Government should do but has refused to do. In fact just today John Morton, the assistant secretary of homeland security for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) stated that his agency would consider not processing illegal immigrants that are referred to his agency from the state of Arizona. In essence this man is not performing the duty that he was sworn to do and that is to protect America from all enemies, foreign and domestic.
I would consider any criminal element that could cross the porous border as an enemy and it is the Federal Governments sworn duty to protect America from them. If illegal immigrants can flow across the border and illegal drugs can flow across the border then what is going to stop an illegal weapon of mass destruction from flowing across the border? Is this government going to wait until there is a mushroom cloud over an American city before it decides to secure our borders? Arizona has been BEGGING the Federal Government to do their job and as of yet nobody in the Obama administration has even responded to Arizona Governor Jan Brewer. Bottom line folks...THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!
Unfortunately this situation is likely to get worse before it gets better.
On a lighter note...A little bit of humor tonight...
A terrorist on the Arabian Peninsula has "accidentally" blown himself up while "messing with a bomb". The Fox News story states that U.S. officials had been watching the terrorist but had nothing to do with his death. Hmmm, what do you think? Quite frankly it doesn't matter to me if he blew himself up or if one of our assets took him out. It's a win win situation for all of us. Another dirtbag bites the dust.
On that note I will bid you all a good night. Tomorrow night is Saturday and with it hopefully some lighter topics to close out the week. I am going to make it policy to not write on Sunday as it will be my day to relax, recharge, visit my house of worship, and spend time with my family.
